Waiting for 'Freak Out Week'
On 2008-08-14 at 12:39 a.m.

Thirteen more days left in Brunei and I can't wait for my last week here. Why? When it comes to the last seven days, I have the excuse to freak out.

I will have the excuse to freak out because my parents WON'T let me be independent.

I will have the excuse to freak out because my sisters WON'T let my parents let me be independent.

I will have the excuse to freak out because the doctor that is suppose to finish my medical report is apparently away in KL and is apparently the ONLY doctor that is available.

I will have the excuse to freak out because I can't get my visa done when I don't have my medical report.

I will have the excuse to freak out because I STILL HAVE TO TAKE THINGS OUT OF MY LUGGAGE!

I will have the excuse to freak out because I don't know where I'm going to live.

I will have the excuse to freak out because I don't know how to cook.

But there are many things keeping me sane while I wait for the 'Pre-Departure Week Freak Out'.

I have seen most of the people I want to see.

I have closure (somehow and somewhat) with the guys in my life, so I won't bring any skeletons.

I have Captain Erwan to count on.

I have Ms Susie to count on.

They understand why I should be independent.

I am home alone and the house is peaceful.

I am organised.

My allowance is more than enough.

There will be people in Beijing to help me out, whatever the emergency.

Captain Erwan will be in Shanghai to help me out, whatever the emergency.

I have made friends on Facebook.

They don't seem to be evil conmen.

Whatever that happens, I can take it. I'm not an 'anak emas' anymore because I don't want to be. The good, the bad, the ugly, we all have to go through it at one point in our life. I'm ready to go Shanghai.
