Look who's in The Brunei Times today!
New UBD term commences
The new students were given a choice, when queried by The Brunei Times regarding the event, to choose whether they wanted to participate in the jogathon or donate blood. In the interview, Sebastian Koh Eng Chong (Josephine Hong Chiew Yee's lovable boyfriend), 19 a new Medicine student under the Institute of Medicine at UBD, stated that initially he had decided to partake in the jogathon but changed his mind, at the last minute, and decided to donate blood instead.
He added that he "always gets involved with jogathon's but this time he wanted to be involved in a more worthy cause (donating blood)."
His friend, Ong Boon Jing (rape victim during his birthday), 20, pursuing a Bachelor in Geo-Science and Petroleum Geo-Science was quite poetic about stating his reason to donate blood rather than participate in a jogathon: simply "blood can easily save someone's life."
Hehe.
I went to Miri this weekend to watch the Miss Chinese Cosmos 2007 pageant. I was bored to tears despite getting front seats and a good view of the contestants (are they called contestants? or pageanters?). Will post up pictures of it soon, bet a lot of guys out there want to see all the pretty girls, self-inclusive (haha).
Oh, I also saw the supermodel Amber Chia who was one of the judges. I don't know who she is, but she's supposedly famous. Therefore, worth the mention.
I'm tired but have lots of work to do. Exams are in two weeks time, oh dear.
